| LyoNC is a online student network aimed at increasing and improving French-American relations and encouraging university exchanges. The website allows French students to gain contact with American students in order to build and foster international relationships. Students can post and receive messages, gain access to university profiles in the city of Lyon and the state of North Carolina, and learn about school-specific exchanges. Through these resources, students will be more encouraged to study abroad and will have access to relevant information about the school they'd like to attend. The site also allows students to practice their English and French language skills through the conversations they maintain and the online learning games available. The website is seamlessly translated into both English and French. In 2004, LyoNC was awarded third place in the prestigious "Jeune Ambassadeurs de Lyon" international project competition; read more about this project in the press.
